Snow Lopez
Miss Rodeo New Mexico 2026

Snow Nicole Lopez is a kind hearted, fierce minded cowgirl from Clayton, New Mexico. Snow
truly feels that growing up in the rodeo world has been one of the best blessings she can thank
her parents Fernando and Mary Belle Lopez for. She is a senior at West Texas A&M University
in Canyon, Texas. Snow is currently on the Deans List, working towards her major in Agriculture
Media and Communications, with a minor in Business Marketing. You can find Snow at barrel
races, creating memories with her family, and making her mark in the Western world. Blessed
to live this way of life, her goal is to work as a Broadcaster or Marketer for a Western Brand.
She has been an active volunteer since 2021 at 7 Star Therapeutic Riding Center, a non-profit
organization that facilitates the healing of the mind, body, and spirit through the grace and
strength of the horse. Through this organization, she discovered her platform “Find your PATH”
because she has been able to experience first hand and witness the miracle bond between
horse and human. This experience has truly been life changing and she will forever cherish her
time spent there. She is also a proud member of the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow,
American Marketing Association, American Quarter Horse Association, AgriWomen Panhandle
Chapter, CattleWomen Association, The Foundation for Western Professionals, and a National Society of Leadership and Success Sigma Alpha PI member.
Snow is no stranger to rodeo as she as been a State Qualifier in barrel racing and pole bending
in Jr. High and High School Rodeo Association years 2014-2018. She won the title of Miss New
Mexico High School Rodeo Queen 2018 and placed top ten at the National High School Rodeo
Association in the queen contest. Snow was a scholarship rider for Vernon Jr. College in the
barrel racing 2021-2022.
She also had the honor of being a three time Rodeo Houston Pivot Girl 2020, 2022, 2024.
“I did not grow up on a horse or a ranch but seeing my fathers love for horses is what brought
me to the great sport of rodeo. I remember the impact it made in my life when I met my first
rodeo queen I knew that moment, I wanted to leave a lasting impression on other people the
way she did for me. Growing up I never saw Hispanic rodeo queens and that led me to believe girls like me couldn’t do this, I want to be a representative for people that are different and show them they can do anything they set their minds to if God put that passion in their heart. Rodeo has impacted my life so greatly it would be an honor to have the chance to represent New Mexico, rodeo, and this western way of life.”

“New year. New season. Same calling. I am so honored to serve as Miss Rodeo New Mexico. I pray that in and out of the arena I can serve others, inspire the next generation, and
glorify Him in all that I do. Here’s to a year led by purpose, passion, and His plan.”
