Alyssa Marable
Miss Rodeo New Mexico 2024
Alyssa Marable was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico where she was an active member in many 4H activities and rodeos. With her family’s ties in the ranching and rodeo communities, she was no stranger to hard work to exceed her goals. The New Mexico State University student is in her third year obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Management, with a minor in equine studies which she hopes to use in a career in becoming an advocate for the western industry. When Alyssa is not in school she enjoys running flags across the Turquoise Circuit. That played a role in her becoming a 2020 Rodeo Houston Pivot Girl. Crowned the 2019 New Mexico State Fair Queen, her fondest memory was helping the younger up and coming generation of rodeo queens be the best image of themselves no matter where their life takes them.
Her platform “Be You” has a special place in Alyssa’s heart because of the close ties her family has with a unique group of individuals who are often left out. Her goal on her travels this year as Miss Rodeo New Mexico, is to bring the two worlds closer together by attending every exceptional rodeo that she can during her reign. She believes that every person has a purpose on this planet and they should showcase who they are and not be afraid to be themselves.

Westie Rose Trujillo
Princess Miss Rodeo New Mexico 2025
My name is Westie Rose Trujillo. I am 11 years old. I am from Magdalena, New Mexico. I am the oldest of four kids. My family and I live and work on a ranch. I am home-schooled so as soon as I am done with school, I am able to help my dad on and off the ranch. My favorite things to do on the ranch are gathering and branding. Off the ranch I get to go with my dad to day work on other ranches around Magdalena.
I love my horses. I like to braid their tails and manes and also I like to work with my colts. A funny thing I like to do with my colts is that I like to read books to them. Some of my favorite books to read are all of the Laura Ingalls books, and my very favorite book is My Side of the Mountain. I want to be a master falconer someday and like Sam Gribley in the book. I want to have my very own falcon hunt for me. I also like to do things like crafting, painting, drawing horses, sewing, and crocheting. I love to bake cakes to eat with my favorite food, ICE CREAM!!
I participate in my local 4H and I love my local community. I have competed in many rodeo pageants and my favorite parts are the queens run and getting to talk to all the other girls. I would love to represent ranch girls, Magdalena and New Mexico in the Miss Rodeo New Mexico pageant by simply sharing my love for horses, rodeo, ranching, and New Mexico.

Alyssa Sauter
Alyssa Sauter
Lady-in-Waiting 2025
Alyssa Sauter resides in the rural eastern community of Moriarty, New Mexico. She grew up in a family of avid rodeo competitors and is no stranger to arena lights and grand entries herself. As a young girl, late spring was her favorite time; early mornings came fast and you could look out to see the neighboring farmers and ranchers already out doing God’s work. While they were planting, harvesting, and herding cattle (all before the first meal of the day), Alyssa saw within them a look of determination and grit. Blessed to be so close to farmland, she had the opportunity to ride on the circles next to her home and in the evenings would often catch farmers coming out to reset their pivots or the ranchers next door fixing fences. When the opportunity came, she would catch them for a talk and learn about the many hardships they faced. Nonetheless, a glimmer of hope for the future would be in their eyes and she could see that in the hands that tilled and mended there was still a passion to cultivate and solidify the western way of life. At 25 years old, the stories of those farmers and ranchers inspired Alyssa to follow her dream of giving back to her community by starting her own business and opening a local feed store. Through that business, she diligently sources locally grown grain and hay while also supplying the local farmers, ranchers, rodeo competitors, equestrians, and rural families in her community with convenient and affordable access to the supplies that they need to sustain this vitally important way of life. When she isn’t in the saddle, she can be found hosting local events to bring revenue, awareness, and education about the agricultural and rodeo industries into her community. She also sponsors local cowgirls and cowboys in the pursuit of their rodeo dreams, is involved in coordinating local rodeo queen pageants, and has a passion for rescuing a variety of different animals as she believes each critter has a purpose in this world.
In the western industry and way of life, Alyssa has found a brilliant light for the world. Knowing that many of the ranchers and farmers whom she admires so much were once young courageous entrepreneurs themselves and now have lessons to share and stories of a lifetime, she hopes to become Miss Rodeo New Mexico so that she may continue to model their example, share their stories, and promote the indispensable western lifestyle.
